Blog Break

I won't be posting for a while, not that anyone checks this blog. I am going to give myself a "blog makeover". I have to wait until school is out though because I am so busy.

Also, Jeff promised me a new Apple Computer!!! and I have to take a class to learn how to use the darn thing. It might be a while, but I will be back better than ever.

I will let you know when!

Busy

I haven't posted for a while cause I am so doggone busy!

Sammi is running for student councel ( I am busy making posters and sticker).

I am on Stake Camp Staff and we have had way to many meetings lately.

My singing group performance is coming up, and I get stressed.

The ward party is in 2 weeks and I am on decorations. (Yes, Eldon, I belong to that pagon ward and I do things over the top. But Martha would be proud!)

I am throwing my sister-in-law a baby shower in 2 days, and I haven't even started on that yet.

Nathan got really sick.

Rusty got sick.

And I am still going to the gym every day at 5am. (No, I don't look any different)

I just have enough time to check everyone elses blog and giggle.
My brother
Eldon's blog makes me laugh.

MILES

Jeff and I have started
(finally, I might add) to put everything on our southwest credit card.

We pay everything we can with this card so we can get more miles.

Every bill possible, every grocery trip, everything... you name it, it goes on the card.

So I don't understand why I got scolded for buying a new pair of shoes on the credit card.

I simply told Jeff that I was trying to get more miles.

He didn't think that was funny
.
(The shoes are cute though)

Bad Blogger

I am a bad blogger. It's true. Sometimes it comes easy, and sometimes I can't think of a thing to say. Kinda like now.

Easter was nice. I was in charge of the ward Easter Egg hunt! I have been stuffing eggs for the last 3 weeks. Close to 2000. I am tired of Easter Eggs. But the party was a success and I have my office back now - no more Easter Eggs.

What's worse is that I had stuffed about 500 eggs, and Rusty got ambitious one afternoon when I was busy, and decided to see what was inside.

Sometimes I wonder why I have a dog. It's a good thing that he has more good attributes than bad ones. Cause the bad ones are pretty annoying. He simply can't be trusted with food -period!

He's like an alcoholic. He wants to be good. He knows he should be good, but he always falls off the wagon.

He needs therapy!

Glad I'm Not A Pioneer!

Jeff and I just returned from our stakes youth pioneer trek. Yikes, I am glad I was not a pioneer. I like camping, but that involves a warm sleeping bag, no snow, a comfy camping chair, and smores.

We got to play "Ma" & "Pa" to 10 youth from the stake. We had to push a handcart loaded with our gear 12 miles through the mountains until 4am in the morning on the first day. What are they trying to do.... kill us?

No, I guess they were just trying to give us a taste of what it was like to push onward, even though you are tired and hungry.

I am so grateful for what they did and the sacrifice they made. I am even more grateful that it's over with, no more crossing the plains required.

Shwew!

They didn't even have deodorant.

Yup... I am so glad I am not a pioneer!

In Shape

So Jeff and I decided to get into shape. The new gym opened down the street so no more excuses.

The first week, I was just going to take it easy and learn the routine. We went around to the machines and I figured out how to set each one, (Jeff's a great teacher). I did a couple of sets, nothing big because I didn't want to kill myself right at first.
OH MY GOODNESS!
I am so sore right now and I am sore in places that I didnt' know I had any muscles in.
OUCH!
I hope this pays off because this is no fun.
Let me tell you, running a marathon was much easier and less painful. These weightlifters are tough!
I will let you know how week 2 goes - if I survive.
The best part about our new routine is 5 am in the morning.
There are very few people at the gym and everyone looks like they just rolled out of bed
- just like me!

Special Day

February 10th was a special day at our house.

Allison was baptised and confirmed.
She got to share her day with one of her best friends,
Andrew Richins.
She was the only girl baptised from our ward along with 3 other boys.
She was taller than all of them.
After she was baptised she kept saying how wonderful it was.
She has so much enthusiasm for life.
We are so lucky to have her!

Picture This

I have been getting so much "crap" about my dog poop picture

that I just thought I would clarify that -

NO, I didn't go outside and take a picture of Rusty's poop.

It's called Google-Images.

(I didn't take a picture of the cupcakes either - that was google also).

Come on guys- you're lucky I even blog -

who has time to take pictures of poo-poo.
(apparently somebody did - ha ha)

Dogs and Cupcakes

Apparrently dogs CAN eat 16 cupcakes
and not get diarrhea.

Rusty was fine and had lot's of energy that day.

In fact I had one of my best runs with him.

His poop was solid.

Darn dog.

Doggone Stupid

I was being good mom, wrapping Allison's birthday presents the night before, getting ready for the big day. I decorated the kitchen and made the cupcakes for her school class right before bed. My morning would be so smooth.

Allison awakens early and runs downstairs to balloons, streamers and presents on the breakfast plate. I hear her giggle with excitement. Then she runs back upstairs and asks me why I only made 8 cupcakes? There are 22 kids in her class. "Silly girl" I say, "I made 24 cupcakes, enough for your class and one for the teacher and student teacher." She continues to claim there are only 8 cupcakes on the counter downstairs.

So we all go downstairs for birthday fun and find the there truly are only 8 cupcakes on the counter.

"RUSTY!!!!!!!! *$%**~!!"

I will let you know when the funeral is.

It has been the coldest January that I can ever remember. I went to fill the dogs water bowl and the water wouldn't come out because the hose was frozen. What's that all about! So we decided that if we can't beat the cold, we would enjoy it!

We drove up the rim and enjoyed a day in the snow.

We weren't sure if Rusty would like the snow, but as you can see, he couldn't wait to play in it. He loved it!

The kids had fun throwing snow balls and eating snow, but we had to be careful, because Rusty made lots of yellow snow. Nathan kept saying it was lemonade snow. Yum!

We had a good time and can't wait to do it again.

I just got released from young womens, so we decided to do a family activity on Wednesdays, just because now we can!

We discovered the local rock gym. The kids love it and climb over and over again.

Man, am I out of shape. Three climbs and my forarms were on fire. I don't know how they kept it up so long.

It was pretty fun, and it reminded me of Aspen Grove and racing up the ropes course. Good times-

I,m Cold!

Brrrrrrr!!!
It's cold right now.

The high yesterday was 43 degrees and that didn't include the wind chill.
So Allison had a soccer game yesterday and team pictures. These poor little kids had to stand in line for half an hour, shivering in the wind in their little soccer shorts. What was even more sad was all the parents and families standing around in their t-shirts and flip flops huddled together, trying to block the wind. That was the longest soccer game I have ever been to. I just remember chattering teeth.
We don't know what to do here when it get's cold. Nobody owns a winter coat, hat's, mittens, scarfs, ect. I really don't like it.
In August, when I am cursing this God forsaken place as temperatures reach the 120's, would someone please remind me why I like living here. I don't like the cold!!
